A Very Unique Flower Indeed

Bleeding Hearts o/c   14x10
Bleeding Hearts must be one of the world's most unique flowers.  They truly are beautiful little hearts with a "drop" falling from them.   I wanted to represent them in a way that felt a little less traditional.  I laid the composition out to be a bit more contemporary and then I worked at keeping the brushwork fresh.  I love green glass and had great fun trying to create the glass and show that each container was just a little bit different in color.  Hope you enjoy it!  Thank you for viewing my art!

  1. Barb, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love the different greens and the variations in the blooms and linear effect of the stems. Truly bleeding hearts. Thank you!!
