When you think about it, Tulips are a rather simple flower. Oh, there are special varieties, but the old fashioned tulips are simple...elegant, but simple. But sometimes beauty is best in the simplest of forms. So I named this one, "Simply Spring".

"Simply Spring"
Nothing says Spring has arrived quite like tulips. This has been an odd year in Michigan with Spring arriving a good month ahead of schedule, but as is the usual course in Michigan, the cold has to settle back in a few times before saying quits for the season. These poor tulips were huddled quietly closed until I brought them indoors to paint...They were opening so fast I hardly had time to paint them!
